Mission

The College of Letters & Science Classified Staff Issues Committee represents the College classified staff in advising the Dean on the development and review of all College policies and procedures affecting classified staff. In addition, the Committee provides advice to the Dean on developing opportunities for participation of classified staff members in department and unit governance, and developing opportunities for recognition of classified staff member contributions to the College’s mission and to the excellence of its programs.

About the CSIC

Created in 2003 by Dean Certain, the Classified Staff Issues Committee provides a forum for Letters and Science classified staff to:

  • provide input regarding college policies that affect classified staff;
  • provide an opportunity to develop and promote new initiatives for professional growth and for college and departmental governance;
  • promote recognition of classified staff; and
  • advise the Dean on policy and other issues.

The nine committee members meet monthly.
