Communication B Courses

Only courses currently approved for credit as Communication B courses are listed below.  Please note that every course is not offered every semester; you must check the timetable for current semester offerings.  Course approvals that have changed over the years appear on the list of "All Courses Ever Approved as Comm and QR Courses".  Use the links provided above to view that list as a .pdf document or to download it in MS Word format.

A note on locating Communication B Courses:  The Catalog does NOT list every course that fulfills credit for Comm B, since the credit may not be offered for every lecture or section, or it may not be available every semester.  You must check the Timetable for each semester's course Comm B offerings, and read the Timetable carefully.  "Section level" Comm B courses do not display a "b" in the "geBLC" column; instead, that information appears in the Section Detail section of the Timetable.  (Both types of Comm B courses now appear in the results of a search of Comm B courses in the Timetable).

If you find a Comm B course on the list below but the Timetable listing does not include the Comm B code in the column, check the section level detail or read the footnotes.  You may find that only one or two sections offer Comm B credit.  If you decide to register for a Comm B course in which only a few sections fulfill the requirement, be sure you register for the right section.
