L&S ACADEMIC PLANNING
COUNCIL Every Wednesday, 3:30 - 5:00, 101 South Hall. Agenda items are scheduled at the Dean's discretion, in consultation the Director of Academic Planning, Program Review, and Assessment and with the Associate Deans.
Please send materials
to your Associate Dean no less than two weeks prior to the meeting. Copies should also be sent to Elaine M. Klein (kleine@ls.admin.wisc.edu; 307E South Hall).
L&S CURRICULUM COMMITTEE Meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of the
month.
Proposals to add, change or delete courses must be approved by the L&S Curriculum Committee before they go to the Divisional Executive Committee. Please e-mail a pdf of the proposal and all attachments to the L&S Curriculum Committee, c/o Tammy Weisensel (weisensel@ls.admin.wisc.edu) for review by the L&S Curriculum Committee. If sending hard copies, please send three (3) copies to the committee c/o Tammy Weisensel (307B South Hall)
Please remember that materials need to be to the Divisional Executive Committee at least three weeks before the meeting at which the materials should be considered. Curriculum Committee dDeadlines fall ten days prior to the meeting that best allows the Divisional Executive Committee deadline to be met. When in doubt, please allow for more time, not less.
When any questions that arise in L&S Curriculum Committee discussions are resolved to the committee's satisfaction and approval is granted, L&S staff will ask department/program to send 20 copies of the approved proposal(s) to accompany the Dean's letter of approval for the Divisional Committee. The "approved proposal" must reflect any revisions that were requested by the committee.
All other materials (e.g., requests to change requirements for the major) should be sent to the Curriculum Committee Chair, c/o Elaine M. Klein ten days before
the meeting.
