| Chapter
I. Administration and Governance
The first chapter of the L&S Departmental Handbook addresses the everyday business of departmental management. Topics in this chapter range from leadership, departmental governance, public notice of open meetings and fulfilling public records requests to the flow of paperwork and location of key university documents. Later chapters will address related issues -- such as funding, budget and operations, personnel, curriculum and student academic affairs -- in greater detail.
