VI.21 AMERICAN INDIAN STUDENT ACADEMIC SERVICES (AISAS) Website: http://www.lssaa.wisc.edu/aisas/ Posoh! (Menominee greeting) American Indian Student Academic Services (AISAS) assists self-identified, American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native Hawaiian (or First Nations) students in their academic, social and professional growth. Created in 1992 to assist First Nations students from rural backgrounds, AISAS provides academic advising, guidance, and counseling to all First Nations students at UW-Madison. The AISAS office also provides information about First Nations student groups, campus events and activities, as well as scholarships, grants, internships, and employment opportunities. AISAS works in coordination with the American Indian Studies Program (AISP) to provide a wide array of activities and academic opportunities at UW-Madison.
