The Cross-College Advising Service is a campus-wide unit administered by Letters & Science through the Office of Student Academic Affairs. Thirteen advisors and a director serve students who have not selected a major; who are considering a change of major; or who have not been admitted to limited enrollment programs. The CCAS Exploration Center for Majors and Careers serves students who are seeking a better understanding about the intersection of their interests, available majors, and possible career options.

New first-year students who have not identified an intended major are assigned to an advisor in the Cross-College Advising Service. Advisors work with students to develop educational and career goals. When students have identified an intended area of study, they are referred to that school, college, or department for further advising.
