The Office of Service Learning and Community Based Research (OSLCBR) offers a variety of grants and funding opportunities for students and instructors.

These grants are available for the purposes of creating, expanding, and perfecting service learning and community based research (SL/CBR). There is also a special needs grant which is available to help cover unexpected or emergency expenses related to service learning and community based research.

International SL/CBR Course Development Grant

$2200 matched by International Academic Programs/Study Abroad to cover expenses of establishing a new international SL course in the College of Letters & Science.

$1200 to provide instructors with funds to explore how to structure and create a new SL/CBR course.

OSLCBR Special Needs
$1300 for unexpected costs of for faculty or instructional academic staff (IAS) who are currently teaching a service learning course and are in need of special funding for unexpected costs of course-related issues. These grant funds are not designed to be used as a permanent source of course funding.
