Letters & Science employees who do not have a UW-Madison parking permit in 2003-2004 may apply for a permit by following these steps:

1. Make sure that you are entered on the payroll system.
Faculty and staff must be entered on the payroll (IADS) system before applying for parking. If you are unsure whether or not you have been entered, check with department administrator or payroll manager.

2. Send your personal identification information and first lot choice to the College of Letters & Science parking coordinator.
Email Chris Bruhn or Leah Osterhaus with your name, University ID or Social Security Number, payroll title, department, and date of birth. For information on parking lot locations and prices, click on the link to lot information or speak with your department parking coordinator.

3. Wait for the college parking coordinator to send you an email response with your ID and Password.
Once received, store your ID and password securely.

4. Log on to the secure Transportation website at http://www.fpm.wisc.edu/permit/application.

5. Click on “Personal Info” tab.
Verify or update your e-mail and address information. Important: Make sure that your mailing address is correct; your parking permit(s) will be mailed to the address that is listed.

6. Click on the “Vehicles” tab.
Update your vehicle information. Your permit is only valid for listed vehicles.

7. Click on the “Applications” tab.
Click on “Apply for parking.” Choose your permit type (Baselot is the normal annual permit), your lot choice, and 1 as the priority of that choice.

8. Enter your additional lot choices.
Your first choice lot may not have available space when permits are assigned. You may indicate up to three additional lot choices
. To indicate your 2nd, 3rd, and/or 4th choices, please repeat step 7 and enter 2, 3, or 4 as the priority for the respective lot.

After the initial assignments are made on July 16th, Transportation Services will make new assignments every two weeks. You will be contacted if you are assigned a parking spot. Applications for 2004-05 will be accepted beginning April 30, 2004.
