Undergraduate Degree Completion
How does a student know if she/he can graduate?
Students should review their DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System).
Degree counselors in the Office of the Registrar use DARS to determine whether a student has met all of his/her degree and major requirements. Students are strongly encouraged to request a DARS for each of their majors. Please keep in mind that any enrollment changes (e.g., dropping a class, adding a class, etc.) may impact a student's eligibility to graduate.
If a student is experiencing difficulty requesting a DARS from the Student Center, s/he may request a DARS from:
- L&S Academic and Career Advising Center, Academic Advising Unit, Suite 155 Middleton Building, 1305 Linden Drive. The office hours are 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.
- Office of the Registrar, Room 11101, 333 East Campus Mall. The office is open from 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.
SPECIAL NOTE TO MUSIC MAJORS: DARS will not indicate that all requirements have been satisfied for students majoring in Music. The undergraduate advisor in the School of Music will review students' records, including DARS, to determine if all degree requirements have been met. Please direct any questions concerning degree completion to the undergraduate advisor in the School of Music.
HONORS: If a student does not plan to complete the requirements for Honors and has declared Honors [Honors in the Liberal Arts (HLA), Honors in the Major (HM), or Comprehensive Honors (for completion of both HLA and HM)], or if a student intends to complete Honors requirements that are not on his/her DARS report, the student should contact the Honors Office in the Washburn Observatory, 1401 Observatory Drive, 608/262-2984.
