Undergraduate Education

Undergraduate education is the pillar of the College of Letters & Science.  Our priority is to provide an exemplary, world-class education for our students through teaching, research and public service.

How do we do that?

Letters & Science introduces students to a broad and deep array of learning opportunities and gives them the tools for discovery.

A Letters & Science education is a rich, invaluable liberal arts experience.  Our students develop flexible and transferable skills that allow them to make a good living and live a good life.

A graduate of L&S will be able to create, understand, interpret, investigate and communicate with the diverse and complex world around us.  We believe these are transcendent skills that create future leaders who are naturally curious, thoughtful, articulate and compassionate.

Whether in the classroom or in the laboratory, on the web or in the workplace, our mission is to help students understand the world and give them the tools and skills to impact change and serve Wisconsin and the world.
